Diabetes

Have you or a loved one been diagnosed with diabetes or prediabetes? Over 37 million people in the U.S. have diabetes. However, at least 20% of people with diabetes don’t know they have it.
Diabetes Fast Facts

According to the American Diabetes Association, Black Americans are 60% more likely to be diagnosed with diabetes. Why do we have a greater risk of diabetes in our community? According to a study, weight and fat around the abdomen were found to cause more diabetes in our community when compared with white people. According to the study, losing extra weight can help reduce these disparities.
