“A group of hospitals has a plan to get around Congress’s refusal to lower the cost of insulin”

Through a nonprofit company named Civica Rx, a group of large hospitals in the U.S.plan to make and sell generic versions of insulin in 2024. Civica Rx’s prices should be only a fraction of today’s list prices for insulin that can range from $125 to $500. High insulin prices have greatly affect Black people who, according to the American Diabetes Association, are 60% more likely to be diagnosed with diabetes.
